KanCare Advocates Network (KAN)

The KanCare Advocates Network (KAN) is a coalition of more than 50 organizations and individuals who advocate on behalf of the 400,000 Kansans who depend on the Kansas Medicaid program, KanCare. Members depend on KanCare and its seven Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver programs for their health care and long-term supports and services.

KAN hosts weekly online meetings for individuals and organizations to meet to discuss current events and topics relating to the care received under Medicaid. Anyone who receives KanCare benefits or who wants to advocate for others who receive benefits can join these meetings.

KAN also hosts an event each fall called “Stronger Together,” a day-long retreat dedicated to legislative and strategic planning for the upcoming year.
