On February 16th, there will be a legislative forum in Garden City — and we want you to be there!
Enhancing access to care is important to the health of all Kansans and to the state’s economic future, and we need the Legislature to ensure that all Kansans can get the health care they need. That’s why our work continues.
The Garden City Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual coffee series each year during the legislative session, which runs from January through May or longer, depending on the length of the legislative session. The 2019 Legislative Coffee will be held on the following dates: January 5, February 16, March 16, April 20 and May 18 and June 15. Each session will begin at 10:00 a.m. inside Classroom B of St. Catherine Hospital.
The Chamber invites legislators from all of southwest Kansas to attend the public forums. Legislators invited to the 2019 coffees are as follows: Senator John Doll, 39th District – Garden City; Senator Bud Estes, 38th District – Dodge City; Boyd Orr, 115th District – Fowler; Leonard Mastroni, 117th District – LaCrosse; Don Hineman, 118th District – Dighton; Bradley Ralph, 119th District – Dodge City; Russ Jennings, 122nd District – Lakin; John Wheeler, 123rd District – Garden City; Martin Long, 124th District – Ulysses; Shannon Francis, 125th District – Liberal.
Each Legislative Coffee is open to the public and a full breakfast is served courtesy of St. Catherine Hospital. There is no cost to attend the event.
